North Rose-Wolcott Elementary Receives Sneaker Donation

North Rose-Wolcott Elementary has received a donation of over 70 pairs of sneakers from Reliant Credit Union to distribute to students who could benefit from a new pair of quality shoes.

Through the “Feet Forward” program, Reliant partners with Rochester Running Company to purchase high-quality sneakers that are then donated to children in partnership with local schools and youth organizations.

Reliant representatives delivered the brand-new sneakers to the school on Monday, November 8. Miss Bruehl’s fourth-grade class eagerly helped to unload shoeboxes from the truck and place them onto carts to be brought into the school building.

This generous donation will help NRWE continue to support the physical and emotional well-being of students and families, said Principal Christie Graves.

“North Rose-Wolcott Elementary is grateful for the generosity and partnership with Reliant Credit Union,” Graves said. “In a time when it is easy to focus on the negative, we are reminded of the love, care and generosity of members in our community.”
