UPDATE: The slides from the September 27 presentation are now available online.
North Rose-Wolcott High School will host a parent and community presentation by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021.
“More than Sad: Suicide Prevention for Parents” will teach parents and community members how to be smart about mental health. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of depression and other mental health problems, initiate a conversation with their child, and get help.
AFSP’s work focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, and raising funds for suicide research and programs. For more information, visit www.afsp.org.
