Wanek, Zhang Named Class of 2021 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
North Rose-Wolcott High School is pleased to announce its valedictorian, salutatorian and members of the Class of 2021 with the top 10 academic averages.
Abigail Wanek is the valedictorian of the North Rose-Wolcott High School Class of 2021.
Abi Jo plans to attend Cornell University in the fall to major in chemical engineering. She has participated in Future Business Leaders of America, jazz band, musicals, and the soccer, track and golf teams.
Lucy Zhang is the salutatorian of the NRW Class of 2021.
Lucy plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology for a five-year program to receive a bachelor’s degree in software engineering and a master’s degree in computer science. Lucy has been involved in AV Club, Student Council and National Honor Society and was also a class officer.

3. Elisabeth Waterman
Elisabeth plans to attend Cayuga Community College for two years, then transfer to a four-year college. She also plans to obtain her cosmetology license so she can work in a salon. Elisabeth participated in basketball and volleyball, and she will continue to play basketball in college.
4. Katthryn Burke
Katie will attend Monroe Community College to study radiology. She has been very actively involved in the art program at NRW and will continue to pursue her passion for art after graduation.
5. Brianna Vezzose
Brianna plans to attend Niagara University to study biology with a concentration in pre-med and an independent minor in marine biology. She participated in volleyball, bowling, tennis, softball, jazz band and pit band and has been treasurer of National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Class of 2021.
6. Connor Majkszak
Connor plans to attend the University at Buffalo to study public health. He was a member of the swim, volleyball and tennis teams, National Honor Society, Science Club and pit band.
7. Nayeli Morales
Nayeli will attend Monroe Community College to pursue a career in dental hygiene. She was a member of AV Club, Art Club, peer mentoring, Future Business Leaders of America, and National Honor Society. Nayeli also participated in the indoor and outdoor track, cross-country, and swim teams.
8. Alexes Hunt
Alexes plans to attend Monroe Community College for entrepreneurship and wants to start her own businesses. She participated in Outdoor Club, National Honor Society, soccer, track and cheer.
9. Hannah Mathes
Hannah will attend John Jay College of Criminal Justice in the fall to study criminal justice institutional theory and practice. During her high school career, Hannah played volleyball, softball and basketball, played in jazz band and pit band, and was a member of National Honor Society.
10) William Reed
Will hopes to become an electrician after graduation. He participated in cross country.
