Christie Graves Named Next Principal of North Rose-Wolcott Elementary
The North Rose-Wolcott Central School District is pleased to announce Christie Graves as the next principal of North Rose-Wolcott Elementary School.
The NRW Board of Education approved Graves’ appointment at its May 11 meeting. Graves, the current assistant principal at NRWE, will start as principal on July 1, 2021.
Prior to joining NRW in 2019, Graves was a first- and third-grade teacher, literacy specialist and instructional coach at Williamson Elementary School for 16 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education with a minor in psychology from SUNY Geneseo, a master’s degree in literacy education from Nazareth College, and an educational administration degree from SUNY Brockport.
A Sodus native and lifelong Wayne County resident, Graves is looking forward to continuing to build connections with students, families and the community. “I want to build relationships so we can continue to grow together,” she said.
Graves also plans to continue working with staff and using the Collaborative Classroom curriculum to facilitate student growth, building a positive and student-focused culture, and increasing community engagement.
