Capital Improvement Projects

2025 Capital Project

On December 17, 2025, North Rose-Wolcott district residents approved $30 million in capital improvements to address numerous facilities issues and preserve district assets by a vote of 170-160.

This proposal is the continuation of a phased approach to making needed improvements to our buildings, enhancing learning and working environments for our students and staff. This project would be funded through $7 million in existing district capital reserve funds, with the remaining funds coming from New York State aid. This project would have no additional impact on the tax rate.

Proposed Project Scope

Project Funding

The entirely of the $30 million cost of this proposal would be covered as follows:

• $23 million would be covered by New York State Education Department building aid.

• The remaining $7 million would be paid for with existing District capital reserve funds approved by residents in 2022 for the purpose of improving and maintaining our facilities. These funding sources enable us to make these improvements with no additional impact to the school tax levy.

Our strategic, phased approach to capital projects allows us to maximize our capital reserves while utilizing the state aid available to us, keeping those state funds in our NRW community.
