Capital Improvement Project

  • Project Scope

    On December 16, 2021, North Rose-Wolcott voters approved $11.1 million in capital improvements to address building needs at North Rose-Wolcott High School, North Rose-Wolcott Elementary School, the district’s maintenance facility, and the athletic fields. This project will be funded through $3,036,697 in the capital reserve approved by district voters in May 2017, with the remaining funds coming from New York State building aid. This proposed project will have no impact on school taxes.

    Planned Improvements

    High School

    • Repairs to masonry on gymnasium exterior wall
    • Gymnasium roof replacement
    • Reconfiguration of Alternative Learning Center (ALC) rooms
    • Conversion of rooms 140 and 141 to large group instruction / meeting area
    • Secure, closer handicap entrance to District Office area on east side of building near parking lot
    • Auditorium updates
      • Improve lighting and audiovisual equipment to meet today's standards
      • Make facility fully ADA-compliant
      • Replace seats and carpeting

    Athletic Facilities

    • Replacement of track surface
    • New, ADA-compliant bleachers
    • New concession stand with restrooms
    • New dugouts and press box

    Elementary School

    • Window replacement in original section of building
    • Replacement of gymnasium metal panels
    • Masonry work

    Maintenance Facility

    • Roof replacement
