Cougar Cupboard

The North Rose-Wolcott Parent Boosters Cougar Cupboard is located within NRW High School and is staffed by school, student and community volunteers.  The Cougar Cupboard serves all students and families within the district who are in need of food. All requests are intended to provide meals for the senior citizens, adults and children in the household for three days. We follow all USDA guidelines on nutrition and food safety.

Please allow 24 hours notice when requesting assistance. Staff will provide you with a pickup time and location based on the availability of the volunteers who pack your food. Please let us know how many senior citizens, adults, and children under 18 are in your household; a contact name and working phone number; and your pickup availability for the next day.

The Cougar Cupboard can provide: (based on availability)

  • Proteins, grains and fruits/vegetables per USDA guidelines
  • Canned goods such as fruits, vegetables, soups and sauces
  • Frozen items if available
  • Cereals, pasta and other grains
  • Juices, fruit cups, applesauce, etc.

The Cougar Cupboard also administers the Backpack Program, which sends food home with registered NRW students several times a year (typically to coincide with school breaks).
