Driver's Education

  • North Rose-Wolcott High School is now offering a driver's education course!

    What are the benefits of driver’s education?

    • Increases student safety and confidence behind the wheel

    • Provides driving experience

    • Reduces recklessness, identifies and corrects bad habits, and teaches driving etiquette

    • Can help improve specific driving skills such as braking, stopping, turning, parallel parking, and merging

    • Potential insurance discount

    • Opportunity to take a mock driving test with instructor feedback

    Successful completion of Driver’s Education will provide the student with .5 credit as well as an MV-285 (certificate of completion of a New York State driver's education course). Students must pass with at least a 65 in both theory and laboratory (driving).
